2022年度アジア高校生架け橋プロジェクトの留学生として、フィリピンから来日していたサマラさんの修了式が行われました。
サマラさんは、6月から3月まで、高校1年生のクラスに在籍し、奈良育英高校の生徒として約8カ月を共に過ごしました。
以前にも何度か来日したことはあったそうですが、今回が初めての長期滞在となりました。
サマラさんは、日本語の勉強はもちろん、それ以外の教科の学習にも積極的に取り組みました。
また、邦楽部のメンバーとして熱心にお稽古を重ね、お琴も少し弾けるようになりました。
休日には、ホストファミリーと外出したり、 ファミリーのお知り合いが経営されるカフェでフィリピン料理をふるまうなど、校外でも様々な経験ができました。
校長先生から修了証を授与されたサマラさんは、無事に学校生活を終えることができた安堵の気持ちもあったと思います。
同時に、お世話になった先生方からのお言葉を聞き、少し寂しそうな様子もうかがえました。
サマラさん、短い間でしたが楽しい時間をありがとうございました。
サマラさんのおかげで私たちも新しい学びがたくさんありました。
またいつかお会いできる日を楽しみにしています。
最後になりましたが、AFSの皆さま、そしてホストファミリーの皆さま、色々とお世話になり、ありがとうございました。
A completion ceremony was held for Ms. Samara, who had come to Japan from the Philippines as an international student of 2022 ASIA KAKEHASHI PROJECT.
Samara was enrolled in the first grade from June to March, and spent about 8 months as a student of Nara Ikuei senior High School.
She had visited Japan several times before, but this was her first long-term stay.
Samara was very active in all subjects as well as Japanese.
As a member of hogaku (traditional Japanese music) club, she practiced hard and learned to play the koto (Japanese harp) a little.
On holidays, she went out with her host family and had various experiences.
She also served Filipino food for some people at a café run by a friend of her host mother.
When Samara received a certificate from the principal, she looked relieved to have successfully completed her school life.
At the same time, she seemed a little sad to hear some comments from the teachers who had taken care of her.
Thank you, Samara, for letting us spend a precious time with you.
Thanks to you, we have learned a lot of new things.
We look forward to seeing you again someday.
